Plants are the foundation of your ecosystem and the food source for herbivores.
Your planet has 6 distinct biomes, each with unique plants and animals:
Placing entities in their preferred biome makes them happier and more productive!
Animals stay in their biome: When wandering, animals will turn back at biome boundaries. They won't stray into the wrong biome and starve — they know where they belong!
Animals are the heart of your ecosystem. There are three diet types:
⚠️ Important: Always build a strong herbivore population before introducing carnivores. Without prey, carnivores will starve and die!
Animals wander, eat, rest, and breed automatically. They stay within their preferred biome — they won't wander off into the wrong territory and starve.
Baby animals mature at different rates: small animals grow up in ~2 min, medium in ~3 min, large in ~4 min, and mega animals (elephants, rhinos) take ~5 min to mature.
Every animal has 5 unique genes (1–100 scale) that determine its traits:
When two animals of the same species (male + female) are both well-fed (happiness above 75%), they may breed. Offspring inherit an average of both parents' genes, with one gene taking the best value. There's also a 5% chance of a bonus mutation!
Breeding timers vary by species size:
Note: Newly placed animals start with a mating cooldown — they won't breed immediately!
Animals with high gene totals are rare and valuable on the Marketplace.

Once your planet is thriving, you can perform a Cosmic Reset:
The more diverse and populated your planet, the more PP you earn!
A healthy ecosystem requires balance:
Tip: Always introduce predators alongside prey. A healthy planet needs both! Aim for roughly 3:2:1 (plants : herbivores : carnivores).
Certain species have an Alpha system — only one dominant male can breed:
This naturally controls pack/herd breeding and creates dramatic power struggles!
Animals can become sick, adding natural population pressure:
Tip: Keep populations below their soft cap to minimize outbreaks. Strong genetics help resist disease!
Animals are social creatures — they need at least one companion of their species!
Tip: Always place at least two of any species! A lonely animal is a doomed animal.
